Department of Specialized Operations

The Department of Specialized Operations is one of the main and extremely important axes at the heart of Al-Yaman Hospital. This department is one of the most complex departments because it requires a sensitive, intense and critical interaction between the different departments in every field and field - from the medical field and the nursing field, through the administrative field to the field of services and finance.
Our goal is to provide patients with the best possible medical care at all times, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The fixed section staff is made up of various nursing and support staff (nurse assistants, janitors, etc.). Depending on the surgeries scheduled to be performed each week, the Operations Department staff is joined by a staff from the Anesthesiology Department (which is also frequently located in the operating room facilities) and many others from the various surgical departments.
The Operations Department works closely with the recovery unit, which is located next to the operating rooms and is used as a temporary station for patients before they are transferred to the regular departments.
Each patient is passed to the operating room and undergone surgery in the operating theater complex to prepare them for the surgery. The nursing staff provides patients and their accompanying persons with information about the surgery, and the staff assists in the routine preparations prior to the surgery, such as preparing the operating room itself. At the same time, the patient is connected to several monitors, while an anesthesiologist is called to give the patient anesthesia.
Collaboration with the Anesthesiology Department is an integral part of the operating room teams work. The operating theater complex is the focus of the activities of both departments. Generally, the staff working in the complex does not leave the place except to go home or to go to the hospital cafeteria.
As is the case in other patient departments, the nursing team, which is divided into teams according to the rooms that will be used for operations on the same day, provides assistance in preoperative preparations, in anesthesia, in the surgery itself and in creating the necessary surgery list and transporting the patient to the recovery room.
